  Loving One's Self

Our existence in this world isn’t just about triumphs or achievements; nor sorrows and failures.  It’s more of how we touch other people’s lives; how we let others feel they’re special.

I’m one who’d been through a lot—and a lot—I’ve learned from those.  I now have a better understanding of “letting go”; I found it out the hard way.   But whatever it is that a person goes through; it is of outmost importance that she/he knows her worth.  True, life is sometimes difficult, but these difficulties should not be outweighed by one’s desire to come out victorious. Bear in mind: when you’re down, there’s nowhere else to go but up. We all have our up’s and down’s.  We do have to fall for us to appreciate and be able to savor the sweet taste of rising—once more.

The person that I am now is not too different from who I was.  Sometimes, I am still that little girl: sensitive, clingy, hopeful, wanting to be loved—only with more courage and equipped with a better understanding of what life really is.  Well, maybe, there’s one more difference; I have now come to embrace and accept that little girl, no matter how silly she may be; despite her flaws and shortcomings—after all, no other soul can understand her as much as I do.
